First trash picking program scheduled for the month of November, held on 8th, with the support of Rapid 60 class students.
Teacher trainee Ms. Nethmi joined the program and she was actively participating and was enjoying with students.
Mr. Buddhika and Ms. Nethmi was introducing the Green bird materials to the students.
It was the first ever Green bird trash picking experience for Rapid 60 class. They all were enjoying, at the same time were working hard to make the day a success.Young generations should gather hands for this effort.
Actually to love the nature should be started from Home itself. Sputnik is not only for knowledge and opportunities, but also a home for love and care. We teach not only alphabets, but also how to be a part of a better force of humankind.
The sunny climate helped us work hard. Many trash bags were collected and disposed with the help of students.
Very disappointing but as usual, lots of trash bags could be found on grounds. We can’t imagine how ruthlessly people treat the mother nature that we are sustained and survived by. It’s a sad truth that it would take hundreds of years to change how people think and come to love the nature. Green bird Sri Lanka team’s ultimate endeavor is to make a difference by taking initiatives to pioneer “NO TRASH” concept all over the island.
