今日はグリーンバードのボランティア活動で、大学周辺の清掃を行いました。今年で6回目の清掃活動でしたが、毎回たくさんのゴミが集まり、中でも特に目立ったのがタバコの吸い殻。いつも同じ場所に大量に落ちていて驚かされます。道の隅々までしっかり掃除できたので、とても達成感がありました。

参加してくださった皆さん、本当にありがとうございました！常連の方も初めての方も、英語で会話をしながら楽しく活動できたのが印象的でした。言語や国籍を超えて、新しい友達ができるのもこの活動の魅力だと改めて感じました。

次回の清掃は5月3日土曜日に予定されています。また多くの方と一緒に活動できるのを楽しみにしています！

Today, we organize a cleanup event with the volunteer group Green Bird. It was our fourth time cleaning the main street near the university, and once again, we collected a surprising amount of trash. The most noticeable item, as always, was cigarette butts

—piled up in one spot, making it clear how much people still litter. We managed to clean every corner of the street, and it felt really rewarding.

Whether you’re a regular or it was your first time, I’m glad we could enjoy the cleanup while chatting in English and getting to know each other better. One of the best parts of this activity is how it brings together people from different backgrounds and creates new friendships.

Our next cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, May 3.

I’m already looking forward to seeing everyone again and welcoming new faces too!
