日本語↓Thank you to all who came along to the first Green Bird Clean Up on this hot day! It felt different cleaning up at the beach. Many felt more relaxed and cleaned up slowly, enjoying the scenery as we went. Beachgoers had more time to watch what we were doing than city dwellers, and we had more comments, praise and overall attention than usual, which was lovely! I was so preoccupied with chatting and cleaning that I forgot to hand out stamp cards to most of our regulars. I promise not to forget you next time! Looking forward to Clean Up Australia Day on March 5th! Feel free to join in for a city clean up on that day if interested. But I'll definitely be setting up more beachside and neighbourhood cleanups this year too. Thank you always to the Green Bird volunteers. Without you, this couldn't happen.
ムシ暑い日に初めての海辺のゴミ拾い活動に足を運んでいただいて、皆様に感謝しています。皆様がいるからグリーンバードが回ります！やっぱりビーチでゴミを拾うと雰囲気が違いますね。もう少しゆったりとリラックスしながら拾えた気がしますし、通りすがりの人はビーチでゆっくりしていたので、私たちを眺めて、何をしているのだろうと考える余裕もあって、普段より話しかけられて、FBでグリーンバードを即席いいねしてくれた人までいました。グラスをビーチから拾ってくれた少女も、何度もありがとうを言ってくれるおばあちゃんも印象に残りました。海辺でゴミ拾うのが楽しかったか結局ほとんどの常連さんにスタンプカードを配るのを忘れてしまい、すみませんでした。今度こそ配ります。近い内に常連さんのインタビューもしたいと思っています。次の活動日は国内のゴミ拾いの日、３月５日です。いつもの応援を心からありがとうございます。
